The beach is so quiet in the morning…

Its just me, the birds, and an abandoned light house.

These are, of course, some additional old pictures I thought I’d post in the spirit of the cold snowy weather up north.
These were taken on a trip I took completely on a whim. I was driving near the area and popped in to see the park. It had just started snowing, so I went in to see how it would look in the snow. It was one of my favorite trips because it was just so peaceful and calm like it always seems to be when the snow first starts to fall.
There were some cool views I had never really been able to see before due to the overgrowth. The snow sort of highlighted some cool things I had never noticed, like path ways and whatnot. Over all it was a great experience for my mind and a terrible one for my feet that managed to get wet shortly after entering and nearly fall off shortly before leaving. It was all worth it though in the end. I loved this location and now that its basically gone, I have nothing but these pictures, memories, and my amputated feet to remember it by.
This is some old material that I posted in the dying days of the old site, but I’m going to pick up where I left off, so here it is again…
I managed to hit up the old grimms bridge tunnel before moving away from Ohio. The tunnel was part of the Pittsburgh Coal Company’s line. It is in the ballpark area of Fredrick Town, but to pinpoint it, you’d need to find Grimms Bridge Rd and walk the former rail line. The tracks have been lifted, but there is no mistaking where they once layed. This may be private property now, so be respectful.

Still working it in to the new version of the site, but if you’re bored, check it out there. There are a few broken links because its actually a back up that was in mid-update. Thanks for checking in all!! Your comments are appreciated. It lets me know people still come around. Thanks!
This is another one I’ve just had sitting around for quite some time and never bothered to post. Its exterior only shots, so nothing too amazing. This is a small military housing subdivision over in North Charleston. There isn’t much still there, but I was able to get a few pictures of the exteriors of some of the old homes. There is also a club and a few other buildings that still stand on the site.
So I’ve finally caved… after years of not having the time to update the site, I’ve finally decided to go the wordpress route and make it easy enough that I’ll actually get around to updating from time to time.
